I tried.I tried.  It feels like my entire life, I've been trying for the wrong people. The boyfriend who forced me to get high and then took advantage of my altered state, I stayed on the phone for hours with, trying to get him back. The friend that molested me, I tried to hurt, just to feel some sort of satisfaction in the matter. The stepfather that hit my mother and chased me, proceeding to kick down my door, I tried to understand and please, because maybe my mom could smile if that wasn't falling apart, too.  I've always tried for the wrong people.  But where do you cross the line?  Do you stop when someone who was a friend ca I tried.

So like, yeah, hola! 47 days until I make my great escape to California, and I'm nervous as hell. I'm more excited than anything, but it really IS a risk, and when you think about it, you have to wonder which direction it's going to take. Am I going to go out there and be awesomely successful or am I going to end up back here six months later with a lot less money, going, "Damn, I fucked up."
